Hello everyone, and welcome back to another check-in.
Last week went opposite of my expectations. I wanted to be completely finished w maps, but ended up having mild progress. I still did my usual duty of checking in the game environment and it's assets. We (me and 3D modeler) also made the decision to change one of our easter egg models to a poster instead of a figure. I started on it, but then it got handed to the 2D artists. So back to working on the roads. I think the most difficult part is trying to make it seem accurate. I was watching a video on how to drive roundabouts to get a feel for how roundabouts look and feel, considering we don't have many in Durham. But this week (hoping I don't jinx it like last) I want to be done with the maps. Like completely finished. I need them done so I can go work on the animations, which we're behind on. Well, that's all for this week, and I hope to see y'all next, when I'm finished with mapping. Map Comparison:

Wow! We're on the seventh post! Well, welcome back everyone!
This week has been similar to the last; finishing up maps. This time I was working on the roads. I had to learn about sign placement on the road, which has been kinda difficult so far. I had to review American driving and learn Canadian driving at the same time. I also had to make another map, just for the main road and it's road sign placement. It can be seen below. I was slow throughout last week, but this week I hope I'll be faster now that I got my road sign knowledge up. Well everyone, that's all for this week, and I hope to see you next. Goodbye. Hey everyone, and welcome back to my 6th blog post where I update my progress on Unreality.
Last week, I was still working on maps. Fortunately, I made significant progress and went from 1-2 maps and their notes completed, to nearly all 5 maps done. Even though I may have completed the maps, I still need to go back through and see where the flashback items need to be placed. Along with flashback items, I need to find out the correct road signs to be using, so I had to learn about Canadian driving and road signs. And that's what I hope to accomplish this week. Similarly to the maps, I've also talking with the 3D modeler about the assets. Well, that's all I've done for last week, and I hope to see everyone again for next week's post. Hey everyone.
This week was the same as last; just working on terrain and the Easter eggs. I finished the area map for the RV park, and I'm close to finishing the campsite map. I think the staff and park patrol areas might have me go extremely into depth. Also for the terrain, I've made a notes document going into more detail about the area, in case it is needed. Well that's all for this week, and see y'all next. |
