Hey everyone.
I had multiple tasks to do this week. I was helping out both the 2D department and assisting the person doing scene design. I was asked to go into depth with the map, so I had to go into detail about the certain places, etc. For my help with the 2D department (who is doing the flashback portion of our game), I was doing a flashback storyboard. Along with that, I had to establish who was doing what and go into depth (when asked). To close out my week, I made the team post by quickly interviewing everyone on their progress. Well, that's all for this week, and I will see you next week.

Hey everyone, I'm back with my first game post as the team writer.
This week was a slow one. I got tasked with creating the map layout, which is shown below. After making the sketch, I verified it with our team lead and the scene designer. I also talked to them about items we need to add to make the campsite feel more like a campsite. After that, I began working on the flashback storyboards with the writers. I had some parts I had to specify for them (i.e. going more in-depth), but it seems like they’re doing fine. As a backup 2D artist, I will also be making some of the flashback sequences. Well that’s all for this week, and see y’all next week. Recently, I made my presentation for my PBM and presented to my class. As most people know (either from class or club), I'm extremely nervous presenting in front of people. You can see my legs shaking and me darting eyes all around. I'm also not the best at making presentations, but luckily I had some experience because I made the presentations for my club.
During my presentation, I tried sitting instead of standing. I originally stole this from a classmate who did it first (if you're reading this, sorry lol), but then I realized it helped me calm down (somewhat) because I couldn't see everyone's eyes looking at me. However, my voice gave it away that I was nervous. I noticed the shakiness right before I started and tried to cover it up with laughs. I wish to get better at public speaking. Even though I was in front of people who I know and get along with, I still was nervous. I even tend to get nervous even when there's a very little amount in the room.
As this year is coming to an end, it is time for me to review what I've learned in Unity. To be fair, Unity and I weren't the best of friends this year. It put up many difficulties, such as the game engine itself not allowing me to change the code class. But after many Google searches and YouTube video watching, I was able to 1.) learn about C# and 2.) learn to restrain myself after nearly punching my computer. I won't lie, C# is really confusing to learn.
Even after watching how to code, I was still really confused. Even now, more thanks to my stubborn Unity, I'm still learning how to code. Thanks to a very close friend of mine in the class, I was able to learn about program collisions and animation. But considering improvement, I still feel very inexperienced. C# still confuses the living daylights out of me, and it's probably going to take me the entire summer to get used to it. Good morning everyone! Today I will be reviewing a visual novel, "missed messages." It is free on Steam, and the reviews say it's a pretty good game. From my knowledge from when I played it, I will evaluate whether or not it is worth the download. First off, I found this game while scrolling through the visual novel section on Steam (obviously seeing if they were free) and the thumbnail is what caught my eye. It looked like it had a nice art style, but what really wavered my click was the tags. Everyone has a personal preference to genres but apparently I went with it because I downloaded the game and played through 2 of the endings (which I will not disclose due to spoilers). Instead I will be placing my thoughts through playing.
Good morning/evening, everyone! Today, like most other blog posts, I will be talking about the title. If you've read some of my previous posts, you know very well that I talk about visual novels. Like a lot. And the question is: Why? Well first off:
Today I worked in the Unity Game Engine.
Good evening/morning to everyone! As the title says, I will be reviewing a game from the When They Cry series; Higurashi When They Cry Hou: Ch.1 Onikakushi. However, I will only be playing this one game because it was free on Steam (OP is broke). Now let's jump into the review.
I will not be sharing pictures from the game just to avoid spoiling, and because of the game's rating. The closest you're gonna get to gameplay pics is the one's I took from the beginning. Hi everyone! I'm back with another drawing tutorial. I haven't done one of these in a while since I had content to work with but now I don't. This is also going to be really short due to the lack of time and data I have.
